OKSAM & ASAM Membership – How Does it Work?
The Oklahoma Society of Addiction Medicine (OKSAM) invites addiction medicine professionals in region VII* to join our state chapter and multiply your power to make a difference. (*We are part of the American Society of Addiction Medicine’s Region VII in the Midwestern US). We welcome addiction medicine professionals at all levels, from pharmacists and nurses to doctors and residents, as well as social workers and even researchers in the field.
Membership in the Oklahoma Society of Addiction Medicine (OKSAM) is connected to your national American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) membership. This allows you to receive the benefits of both at the same time. OKSAM Chapter membership offers you state-specific resources, advocacy, and networking with other Oklahoma regional addiction medicine professionals in Region VII. While we do have urban issues, our chapter really understand the addiction issues that our remote and rural communities face.
ASAM’s membership form will suggest an appropriate regional chapter, based on your location. Be sure to take action and indicate OKSAM as your regional chapter choice. This will enable you to get connected with other addiction medicine professionals whether you deal with addiction issues in the rural or urban parts of Oklahoma.
We look forward to seeing you at one of our virtual or in-person meetings, educational programs, or conferences. Click links to join or rejoin:
